The 6’8” forward from Winchester, Va. averaged 20.2 points and 10.3 rebounds per game in a memorable four-year career on the men's basketball team. He earned first team All-WVIAC honors in all four of his seasons, making him one of just three players in conference history to do so.

Atkins also earned Honorable Mention All-America recognition four times, and was first team All-East Region as a senior.

Under legendary head coach Steve Cox, Atkins was the WVIAC’s Freshman of the Year in 2001, a season in which he led the league in scoring. Atkins topped the league in rebounding as a junior, and again as a senior. He is fourth on Concord’s all-time scoring list with 2,239 points, and is 3rd in rebounds, with 1,144.
