JASMINE CLAGGET ENTRIES
Saturday is the final chance for the Mountain Lions to qualify for the upcoming Mountain East Conference Championships that run April 26-28 with the top 16 in each event making the conference championship.

Heading into the weekend, Jackson occupies the final spot in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.67. He is entered in the 400-meters at Wesleyan with Miller who is currently 21st in the MEC (51.30 seconds). Junior Shawn Bennett sits on the bubble of the hammer throw at 19th in the MEC (39.71 meters). As it stands, he will need a throw of better than 41 meters to enter the top 16. Freshman Isaac Treadway and sophomore Marquise Walker join Bennett in the event. Collins has cemented his spot in the 100-meters, ranking third in the MEC. However, he will give the event a go with senior Richard Henry, currently 14th in the MEC (11.02 seconds), and fellow senior Ryan Covington.

After running a personal-best 400-meter time last weekend, Wall is still firmly on the bubble of the event as she sits 15th in the MEC (1:00.17). She is entered along with senior Emma Londeree. Doughton needs to climb one spot to enter the top 16 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. She previously ran 13:07 in the event this season. Cox is entered in the hammer with a season-best throw of 37.00 meters. She is 20th in the conference and needs to a throw of at least 38.66 meters to find her way into the top 16. And rounding out the top entries for the CU women is K. Lilly in the high jump as she is 18th with a height of 1.43 meters this spring.
