INDIANAPOLIS – Senior forward Abbie Smith of the Concord University women's basketball team has been selected to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-American Second Team, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.

Smith becomes the third All-American in program history, joining Jolysa Brown (2011-12) and Riley Fitzwater (2021, 2021-22).

The Little Hocking, Ohio native averaged 18.8 points and 10.9 rebounds per game while shooting 57 percent from the field and 85.7 percent at the foul line. She tallied 18 double-doubles during the season with 13 of those being 20-10 games. She began the season with six 20-10 games across the first eight contests of 2025-26. Smith netted a season-best 29 points against Seton Hill (Nov. 14). Five days later, her three-point play in the final 30 seconds against Bluefield State was the eventual game-winner in a 79-77 victory. She had 22 points in the win.

Smith recorded her first career 20-20 game with 22 points and 21 rebounds in a resounding win at Davis & Elkins (Feb. 14). And in her final home game at the Carter Center, she had 22 points and 11 rebounds in a 95-61 victory against West Virginia State (Feb. 25).

For her career, Smith finished with 1,911 points and 1,129 rebounds which both rank third in program history at Concord. Her career field-goal percentage of 54.4 is second all-time at CU, and her 78.6 career free-throw percentage of 78.6 is fifth at Concord.

Tuesday's announcement caps a spectacular season for Smith that saw her also being named the Mountain East Conference Player of the Year and the D2CCA Atlantic Regional Player of the Year. She was the only Atlantic Region player on the D2CCA All-America Teams.
