ATLANTA – Senior forward Abbie Smith of the Concord University women's basketball team has been selected to her second All-American team in as many days as she was voted to the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (WBCA) All-American Honorable Mention Team, the organization released Wednesday afternoon.

Smith, a native of Little Hocking, Ohio, becomes the second consensus All-American in program history as she joins Riley Fitzwater from the 2021 season. Smith earned All-American nods from the WBCA and the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA).

During her senior season, Smith scored 18.8 points and grabbed 10.9 rebounds per game. She shot 57 percent from the floor and made 85.7 percent of her free throws during the 2025-26 season. Smith notched 18 double-doubles with 13 of those coming ending as 20-10 contests. She ranked top 15 in Division II in double-doubles (tied for seventh) field-goal percentage (12th) and rebounds (13th). She was just outside the top 25 in the country in scoring.

She tallied her first career 20-20 game in a win at Davis & Elkins February 14, and began the year with six 20-10 games in the first eight contests. And Smith netted a season-high 29 points in the first game of the season versus Seton Hill (Nov. 14).

The consensus All-American was also the 2026 Mountain East Conference Player of the Year as well as the D2CCA Atlantic Regional Player of the Year.

Among single-season ranks at Concord, Smith's 544 points and 315 rebounds are both eighth. Her free-throw shooting percentage is third all-time at CU for a season.

Smith finished her career playing 119 games in the Maroon and Gray. She scored 1,911 points and collected 1,129 rebounds, both rank third all-time at Concord. Additionally, Smith's 54.4 shooting percentage is second at CU while her 78.6 percent showing from the free-throw line is fifth in program history.

Minnesota State-Mankato's Natalie Bremer was selected as the WBCA Division Player of the Year.
