HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Concord University men's track & field team is ninth through the first day of competition of the Mountain East Conference Indoor Championships at the Chris Cline Complex.
CU scored 10 points on Saturday as the Mountain Lions are just nine out of the top five.
Eight of the 10 points for Concord came from sophomore
Daminn Cunningham who marked 6.92 meters in the long jump and finished second. Fellow sophomore
Dallas Ford was 13
th in the event with a mark of 6.17 meters.
By finishing second in the event, Cunningham earns All-MEC Second Team.

AJ Skeens clocked a time of 10:47.06 to finish seventh, and score two points.
Sophomore
Tobi Adebulu is eighth through four events of the seven-event heptathlon. He finished sixth in both the shot put (9.98 meters) and high jump (1.71 meters). Adebulu has scored 2,056 points in the heptathlon thus far.
Redshirt freshman
Dom Collins qualified for the 60-meter dash finals Sunday evening with a time of 6.83 seconds in the prelims—the third fastest qualifying time.
Junior
Braden Ward was 10
th in the 5,000-meter run with a showing of 15:25.83. Sophomore
Brandon Canaday was 10 seconds back in 11
th, and Hickey clocked 15:39.92 for 13
th.
Jackson ran a personal-record time of 50.30 seconds in the 400-meter dash prelims to place 11
th. And Ford was 11
th in the 60-meter hurdle prelims in a career-best time of 8.69 seconds.
The MEC Indoor Championships resumes Sunday morning with field events. Running events get under at 4:10 p.m. Sunday.
