NORTH VIEW, Pa. – The Concord University women's golf team placed ninth at the Evann Parker Memorial Invite hosted by Mercyhurst at Lake View Country Club Saturday.
Concord was paced by fifth-year senior
Melinda Goda who finished tied for 21
st after scores of 87 and 90, and a two-day total of 177. Sophomore
Mary Denny was five shots behind Goda with rounds of 90 and 92. Denny was 34
th.
Senior
Taylor Bohan tallied a final score of 199 as she placed 48
th. Freshmen
Anna Fry and
Josie Montgomery finished right behind each other firing 213 and 214, respectively.
Gannon was 28 strokes better than Mercyhurst as it won the team competition, 623-651. Sarah White of Gannon won the individual competition.
The Mountain Lions are right back in action Sunday and Monday at Erie's Whispering Woods Golf Club in the Michael Corbett Fall Classic.
