MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Concord University men's track & field team won the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge that wrapped up Saturday afternoon at Doug Shaw Stadium.
Concord finished with 54 points at the meet as it edged Division I Purdue-Fort Wayne by a point for the team championship.
Concord tallied two event wins.

Marcus Wilson picked up a victory in the 4x400-meter relay by clocking 3:31.76. Individually, senior
Issac Prather came through in 8:41.05 in the 3,000-meter run to earn the win.
Fellow senior
Cedric Drennen crossed in third in the 3,000-meters as he sported a time of 8:52.47.
Watty continued his strong meet with a runner-up finish in the 800-meter run, crossing the tape in 2:00.75. Watty along with Drennen, Prather and freshman
Logan Zuchelli were the runners-up in the 4x800-meter relay as the group clocked 7:53.39.

Preston Prather, fifth-year senior
Raheem Williams and Wilson were sixth in the 4x800-meter in a time of 8:15.42.
Zuchelli debuted in the 3,000-meter steeplechase as he ran 10:21.07 to finish third. P. Prather crossed in 10:26.22 to place fourth. Wilson was second in the 400-meter hurdles as he posted a time of 56.45 seconds. Freshman
Jonny Sweeney was 20
th as he came through in 1:08.74.
The Mountain Lions received two top-five finishes in the 5,000-meter run. Fifth-year senior
Samuel Haynes was fourth in 15:28.26. Junior
Nate Leichner was five seconds back as he placed fifth. Senior
Daniel Baldwin finished in a time of 16:43.94 as he placed 24
th.
Watty scored points in a second individual event by hitting the tape in the 1,500-meter run in 4:08.42, good enough for seventh. Board was 12
th (4:17.40).
Freshman
Prince Bhebhe was 21
st in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.00 seconds.
