Emptying the Notebook: 2025-26 Men's and Women's Golf

ATHENS, W.Va. – With the 2025-26 school year officially wrapped up, the Concord University Sports Information Department will provide a rewind to some of the numbers and notes that were pertinent to the success of the Mountain Lions.

Each athletic program at Concord will have their own spotlights in this Emptying the Notebook series. The numbers and notes that may or may not have been used in previews and recaps throughout the season.

Two sports, men's and women's golf, share the spotlight next.

Team finish for the Mountain Lion women at the Mountain East Conference Championship in October, matching the best finish in program history.

5- Before the freshman duo of Jeremy Nguyen and Jackson Williams earned All-MEC Honorable, it had been five years since a CU freshman was named All-MEC.

8- The Mountain Lion men had four of the top eight golfers at the Battle for Draper as it closed the spring season with a team victory

10- With Kendra Lugo and Sara Matos Tamargo earning All-MEC Honorable Mention, it marked the 10th straight year Concord women's golf had had representation on the All-MEC Teams.

70- Best round of the year for any Mountain Lion men's golfer belonged to Henry Lewis and his round of 70 at the third round of the Bluefield State Invite in October.

74.5- Williams' scoring average over the final four rounds of the year, five strokes better than his overall season average.

76- Lugo shot a 76 at Charleston in the fall, marking the lowest round for a CU golfer since the fall of 2023.

80- Lewis will carry a streak of five straight rounds under 80 into the 2026-27 season. His scoring average as a freshman was 78.2

87- Career-best round for Alexandria Denny during the first round of the Clarion Golden Eagle Invite in the fall.

90- Of the eight individual rounds scored at the Pipestem Collegiate in September, seven were below 90 in helping the CU women win its home tournament.

300- Best round of the year for the Concord men which was scored during the final round of the Charleston Invite—led by Coltan Farrell's 74.

342- Best team score of the year which was scored during the second round of the Golden Eagle Invite, leading to a third-place team finish for the Mountain Lion women.
