BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The Concord University men's track & field team placed seventh at the Jasmine Claggett Memorial Invite Saturday afternoon at West Virginia Wesleyan.
CU tallied 25 points on the day as winner Glenville State scored 177.5.
The Mountain Lions got an event win from sophomore
Daminn Cunningham as he cleared 2.00 meters in the high jump. He improved his own lead in the Mountain East Conference in the event as he became the only conference athlete to go over 2.00 meters (6-foot-5.5 inches) in the high jump this spring.
Freshman
William Jackson moved into the top 16 in the MEC in the 400-meter dash as he ran a season-best time of 50.55 seconds to finish third. Sophomore
Aaron Miller also clocked a season-best time of 50.86 seconds, good enough for sixth.
Sophomore
Tobi Adebulu had two top-eight finishes. He ran a career-best time of 17.63 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles to record an eighth-place showing. Adebulu added an eight-place finish in the long jump (5.49 meters.).
Rounding out the scorers for the Mountain Lions was sophomore
Jaedan Holstein who placed fifth in the 800-meter run, turning in a time of 2:10.39.
Saturday wrapped up the regular season for Concord as the Mountain East Conference Championships will be contested April 26-28 at Mylan Park in Morgantown, West Virginia.
