THE DEFENSIVE QUEEN EXTENDS HER REIGN
Senior libero Allie Davis officially hit a massive career milestone by reaching 2,000 career digs during a hard-fought battle at the end of the first set against Davis & Elkins. Her relentless pursuit in the back row anchors the Mountain Lions' defense night in and night out. Davis became the second active player in Division II with 2,000 career digs as she now sits at 2,014 digs.

BREAKING THE STREAK
The Mountain Lions are primed and ready to shatter the historical losing streak against Wheeling behind the dominant, all around forces leading the roster this season. The Mountain Lions are 0-33 all-time against Wheeling. Two years ago, Concord won its first-ever set against Wheeling on the road, and last year the Mountain Lions came up just short in a four-set match at the Carter Center. Senior outside hitter Chloe Thompson had 14 kills while senior middle hitter Jasmine Anderson and senior outside hitter Meg Williams both notched 12 kills. Senior setter Haley Sweeney threw in a career-best 28 assists.

POST-SEASON FACE-OFF TRIFECTA
Even as regular-season plays on, it is hard to ignore the postseason history building between Concord and West Liberty after meeting in the MEC Conference Tournament for the past three consecutive years. Across those recent playoff battles, the Mountain Lions current hold a 2-1 edge in the series. That familiarity brings an extra edge to every time these two squads step onto the court together. CU took last year's regular season meet in the Carter Center, in four sets. In the regular-season clash, Williams had 13 kills and 16 digs. Thompson netted a team-best 14 kills while senior setter Paige Richmond racked up 33 assists.

THE ULTIMATE TEST
The Mountain Lions continue to thrive defensively, anchored by stellar back-row play that recently earned Davis MEC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Davis helped to push Concord to a winning week of play, earning the Mountain Lions a five game winning streak over the past two weeks. Alongside her locking down the defense are Williams and Thompson, leading the squad in digs per set. On the frontline is the captain of the block party, Anderson continuing her stellar performance defensively by continuing to deny the opposing offense at 1.31 blocks per set.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
The Cardinals head into this matchup looking to rebound after suffering a tough five-set heartbreaker against IUP, where they dropped a tight decision despite a strong defensive effort. Statistically, Wheeling anchors its game with a potent attack averaging nearly 12 kills per set on a .187 hitting percentage alongside a high-volume back row racking up 16.6 digs per set.

A key stat for the Hilltoppers highlights their aggressive service pressure, averaging 1.63 aces per set. Offensively, they are paced by Amira DuPree (leading with 3.34 points per set and 232 total kills) along with setter Dakoda Keni directing the floor (6.84 assists per set), while Julia Birck anchors their front-line presence defensively and efficiently at the net.
