LAST TIME OUT
The Mountain Lions returned from a two-week hiatus to compete at the Liberty Open Friday.
For the Concord men's team, redshirt freshman Dom Collins rolled to a time of 6.81 seconds in the 60-meter dash which was good enough to earn him Mountain East Conference Athlete of the Week. He finished second at Liberty and clocked the second-fastest time in the MEC this season. Junior Braden Ward ran a personal-record time of 8:34.03 in the 3,000-meters as he clocked the fifth-best time in the MEC this winter. Sophomore Brandon Canaday posted a career-best time of 15:25.33 in the 5,000-meter run as he finished sixth. Ward was three spots ahead with a showing of 15:13.29. Sophomore Daminn Cunningham cleared 1.80 meters in the high jump as he finished ninth.

The CU women's performances were paced by freshman Violet Wall who sported two career-best times. She came through 800-meters in 2:20.63 which is good enough for second in the MEC. She followed in the mile by running 5:17.22. Junior Charlotte McGinnis ran a career-best time of 2:37.35 in the 800-meters. Junior Sara Turner did likewise in the 5,000-meter run with her personal-best time of 19:26.86. It pushes her into the top 16 in the MEC.
