The Mountain Lions returned from a two-week hiatus to compete at the Liberty Open Friday.
For the Concord men's team, redshirt freshman
Dom Collins rolled to a time of 6.81 seconds in the 60-meter dash which was good enough to earn him Mountain East Conference Athlete of the Week. He finished second at Liberty and clocked the second-fastest time in the MEC this season. Junior
Braden Ward ran a personal-record time of 8:34.03 in the 3,000-meters as he clocked the fifth-best time in the MEC this winter. Sophomore
Brandon Canaday posted a career-best time of 15:25.33 in the 5,000-meter run as he finished sixth. Ward was three spots ahead with a showing of 15:13.29. Sophomore
Daminn Cunningham cleared 1.80 meters in the high jump as he finished ninth.
The CU women's performances were paced by freshman
Violet Wall who sported two career-best times. She came through 800-meters in 2:20.63 which is good enough for second in the MEC. She followed in the mile by running 5:17.22. Junior
Charlotte McGinnis ran a career-best time of 2:37.35 in the 800-meters. Junior
Sara Turner did likewise in the 5,000-meter run with her personal-best time of 19:26.86. It pushes her into the top 16 in the MEC. Junior
Meagan Poticher had a season-best throw in the shot put (9.99 meters).
BAST-CREGGER ENTRIES
Five Mountain Lions are entered at or under 4:50 in the mile: Canaday (4:27), junior
Andrew Tickle (4:30), sophomore

Bryce Legg (4:50). The 800-meters will feature three CU athletes seeded under 2:00: sophomore

Wall will bump down in distance for the Mountain Lions this weekend as she competes in the 200-meters. She has a seed time of 27.0 seconds. Sophomore
Cassidy Hammonds (26.5) has the fastest entry time for CU. Freshman

Jenna Webb (29.4) are also scheduled for the event. A total of five Mountain Lions are entered in the 800-meters as sophomore
