MEC Tournament Seeding Scenarios
Concord starts the weekend three points in front of Charleston for second place in the MEC South Division. In two games against Charleston, CU played to a pair of draws. Should the teams finish tied in the overall standings, the tiebreaker would be record against West Virginia State, as the top team in the division. Concord went 1-1 versus WVSU while Charleston is currently 0-1 against the Yellow Jackets, finishing the regular season at West Virginia State. Simply put, Concord just needs to match results with UC to stay above Charleston in the standings.

CLOSING DOWN CALLAGHAN STADIUM
The Mountain Lions wrapped up the home portion of the regular season with a 3-1 win over Davis & Elkins Wednesday night. Even though CU could still have home postseason games, the Mountain Lions were 6-3-1 at home during the regular season, including 6-1-1 in conference games at Callaghan Stadium. Concord has won at least six home games in four of the last five seasons. Individually, sophomore forward Tiana Campbell has scored nine of her 11 goals for the season at home, including her MEC-leading 11th of the year versus Davis & Elkins.

TOP OF THE SCORE SHEET
Campbell enters the final week of the regular season with a one-goal lead for the best in the MEC. West Virginia State's Leila Karam and Fairmont State's Montserrat Diaz both have 10 goals. Concord is seeking to have the regular-season scoring champion in the conference for a second straight year after Sydney Tucker had 16 goals during her All-American season in 2024. Part of Campbell's success has been the fact that senior forward Caitlin Webster leads the MEC in assists (eight). The Sydney, Australia native also moved up to ninth in career assists at Concord (17) with an assist Wednesday night. And finally, sophomore defender Ella Rowell leads all MEC defenders in assists (four).

BRING ON THE BOBCATS
On Sunday, Concord goes for its eighth straight win over West Virginia Wesleyan after collecting a 4-2 win at home to begin MEC play September 13. Campbell notched two goals in the game which marked her second career brace versus the Bobcats. The Plymouth, England native has eight career braces. Both Rowell and Webster set up a first-half goal by sophomore midfielder Stephanie Tovar. And freshman forward Alana Ferguson scored her first career goal in the 75th minute. Joining Campbell in the scoring column last year in a 4-1 road win versus WVWC was senior defender Jessica Neville who opened the scoring in the 16th minute.

NOT FEELING BLUE
In 15 previous meetings, the Mountain Lions have won each one versus Glenville State. In the September game this season, Concord held Glenville State without a shot for the contest as Neville, Rowell and freshman defender Cecelie Skelde kept the ball away from sophomore goalkeeper Maddie Loughborough. Webster had two of her three goals for the season versus the Pioneers earlier this fall. Skelde hit a shot from distance for her first career goal. CU made quick work of GSU last year on the road with a 5-1 win. Sophomore midfielder Marika Svensson netted a hat trick while sophomore forward Taryn Kelly and Neville each scored once.

TAKE ADVANTAGE
Concord has scored at least 45 goals in each of the last six seasons. The Mountain Lions enter the weekend with 39 goals this season. However, 45 goals are still within reach as West Virginia Wesleyan and Glenville State have given up 31 and 28 goals, respectively, ranking ninth and 10th in the conference in goals allowed. Concord has scored four or more goals in seven of the last nine games versus WVWC, and has netted at least four goals in six of the last eight contests with Glenville State.

SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
The seven wins for the Bobcats are the most since 2021 when they finished 8-7-3. West Virginia Wesleyan is tied for fourth in the MEC South entering the weekend. After playing Concord, WVWC finishes the regular season against last-place Davis & Elkins. The Bobcats are coming off a hard-fought loss at West Virginia State, 6-3. WVWC trailed 3-0 before tying the game at 3-3. Ava Badallo leads Wesleyan with five goals. Paloma Zamora has netted four goals.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Glenville State, tied with WVWC, has a much more difficult run-in to finish the regular season, playing the top two teams in the MEC South in Concord and West Virginia State. Solares Solano has had a stellar season with nine goals. She has scored three of the last five games. The Pioneers were shutout in their most recent game, 2-0, at Charleston.
