ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University men's and women's track & field teams travel to Marshall Invite for the final indoor regular season meet Friday and Saturday in Huntington, West Virginia.

Isaiah Jackson-Darby ran a season-best time of 3:25.78 as they finished fifth at the Liberty Open. Freshman
Braden Ward clipped of a time of 8:47.84 in the 3,000-meter run, placing him squarely on the bubble of 17
th in the Mountain East Conference.
Two record-setting performances highlighted the women's results from last weekend. Graduate student
Emily Wallace broke her own school record in the mile run by clocking 5:00.01 at Liberty. She put together the second-fastest mile in the MEC this winter. Meanwhile at VMI, freshman
Nadiyah Abdussalaam broke a six-year old program record in the pentathlon by scoring 2,492 points, eclipsing the old mark by 79 points. Abdussalaam currently ranks third in the MEC. CU's 4x400-meter relay of sophomore

Izzy Williams churned out a season-best time of 4:19.22 at Liberty.

With the MEC Championships a week away, this is the final chance for the Mountain Lions to meet their marks and get inside the top 16 in a particular event.
Not only is Ward on the cut line of the 3,000-meters, but he is also 19
th in the 5,000-meters. The Princeton, West Virginia native will race both events this weekend. Five Mountain Lions are wavering around the top 16 of the 800-meter run. Freshman Jaedan Holstein (15

Zach Wilson (24
th) all hope to move up in the rankings while junior
Ethan Board will be seeking a qualifier in the event. Foddrell is currently 19
th in the 200-meter dash and needs to have off less than 0.2 seconds to get into the top 16.
Already having secured a spot in the 5,000-meters at the MEC Championships, sophomore
Katy Walkup (18
th) and junior
Madison Cornett (22
nd) seek to move up into the top 16 of the 3,000-meters. Speaking of the 5,000-meters, sophomore
Emma Londeree will give the event a go for the third straight week as she currently ranks 21
st in the MEC. Freshman

Talayna Holmes is entered in the 60-meter dash where she hopes to improve her 14
th-place ranking in the MEC. Graduate student
Abbey Wallace is sitting 15
th in the shot put heading into the weekend with a throw of 10.56 meters in December. Wallace and freshman
Meagan Poticher are both entered in the weight throw as well. Poticher is 23
rd in the MEC.
