LEXINGTON, Va. – The Concord University men's track & field team picked up several top-10 finishes at Keydet Invite hosted by VMI Friday and Saturday.
The meet was highlighted by senior
Issac Prather winning the 3,000-meter run in a time of 8:31.38. Freshman
Logan Zuchelli followed closely behind in third as he clocked a time of 8:39.75. Fifth-year senior
Andrew Barbera turned in a time of 10:03.72 as he finished 15
th.
Junior
Alex Watty led four top-10 finishers in the 1,000-meter run. Watty was the runner-up with a time of 2:36.55. Freshman
Madoc Lathroum came through in 3:04.42 to place eighth. Sophomore
Isaiah Jackson-Darby posted the same time, 3:04.48, as he placed ninth. Freshman
Justin Dodd was 10
th as he clocked 3:33.60.
Freshman Terryn Patterson-Bryant was the runner-up in the 60-meter dash as he sprinted 7.01 seconds. Senior
Hunter Thomas also made the finals of the event as he placed sixth in a time of 7.27 seconds.
Freshman
Ian Gardner recorded a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter dash as he stopped the timer at 23.47 seconds. Patterson-Bryant was sixth in 24.01 seconds.
Watty was the top finisher for the Mountain Lions in the mile run as he came through in 4:28.92. Sophomore
Preston Prather was a top-10 placer as his time of 4:31.94 was good enough for 10
th.
Concord's 4x400-meter relay of senior
Daniel Baldwin, Gardner, Watty and fifth-year senior
Marcus Wilson clocked a time of 3:37.58 to finish fifth.Â
Freshman
Prince Bhebhe was 13
th in the 400-meter dash as he clocked a time of 56.19 seconds.
The Mountain Lions return to VMI next weekend for the VMI Winter Relays.
