Women's Track and Field Inks Musick

ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University head men's and women's track and field and cross country coach Mike Cox has released the signing of Carlie Musick.

Musick becomes the third member of the track and field team this spring and the second female, joining Cabell Midland's Lindsey Cummings.

In her high school career at Fort Chiswell in Max Meadows, Virginia, Musick has excelled in sprinting and jumping events.

Musick has advanced to the state meet four different times in the long jump, most recently during the indoor season in Virginia's Class 1A. She was the regional runner-up and placed eighth in the event at the indoor track and field championships this past winter.

Additionally, Musick in a five-time state championship qualifier in the triple jump with her best finish coming as a sophomore when she placed fifth at the state meet during the outdoor season.

Musick's personal records are 13.70 seconds (100-meter dash), 29.41 seconds (200-meter dash), 16-feet-6.5 inches (long jump) and 34-feet-7 inches.
