Volleyball Signs Five Players for Class of 2015

ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University volleyball head coach Kate Southcott has announced the signing of five players to the 2015 recruiting class.

Below are profiles of all five players

9191Name: Jayden Jacobs
Hometown: Huntington, W.Va.
High School: Cabell Midland
Position: Setter
Notes:
Jacobs was named to the All-Mountain State Athletic Conference as a senior as she averaged 7.7 assists per set. Jacobs also led the state of West Virginia with 142 aces. She is the daughter of Marshall University head volleyball coach Mike Jacobs.

Name: Lindsey Lannen
Hometown: Tinley Park, Ill.
High School: Tinley Park
Position: Middle Hitter
Notes:
Lannen was named to the all-conference and all-area teams. Plays club volleyball for Ultimate Volleyball Club. Lannen also letters in basketball and was named to the school honor roll.

Ellie LawrenceName: Ellie Lawrence
Hometown: Newport News, Va.
High School: Warwick
Position: Outside Hitter
Notes:
Lawrence was named to the All-PenSouth first team all four years of high school. Lawrence Member of six different all-tournament teams throughout her high school career. Lawrence has appeared on the school honor roll at Warwick all four years. She plays club volleyball for the Peninsula Juniors Volleyball Club.

Name: Lexi Pranckus
Hometown: Tinley Park, Ill.
High School: Victor J. Andrew
Position: Libero
Notes:
Pranckus was a member of the USA beach volleyball team that was fifth at nationals in 2013. She has also been named to multiple all-tournament team throughout her high school career. Pranckus plays club volleyball with fellow Concord signees Lindsey Lannen and Erin Shannon. Pranckus also letters in badminton at Andrew High School.

Name: Erin Shannon
Hometown: Frankfort, Ill.
High School: Lincoln-Way East
Position: Outside Hitter
Notes:
Shannon was a member of the conference and sectional champion volleyball team. She has maintained a GPA of 3.5 or better each semester of her high school career. Shannon is in the National Honor Society  at Lincoln-Way East and also letters in tennis.
