SENIOR SEND OFF
Prior to Concord's contest against Shawnee State, head coach
Kate Dillon will honor eight seniors inside the Carter Center. The eight are middle hitter
Jasmine Anderson, setter Savannah Davila, libero
Allie Davis, right side hitter
Meagan Poticher, setter
Paige Richmond, setter
Haley Sweeney, outside hitter
Chloe Thompson and outside hitter
Meg Williams. The four-year seniors for CU have combined to go 73-50, including a chance at back-to-back 20-win seasons which would be the first time in program history since 2001 and 2002. Additionally, CU has made the MEC Tournament Semifinals in each of the last two seasons.
Anderson ranks third in program history in career blocks with 362. This season, the Orangeburg, South Carolina is second in the MEC in blocks per set (1.30), and is just one of three players in the conference with more than 100 blocks on the season. Davila has appeared in 34 matches over her three-year career and is averaging 3.45 assists per set this season, a career high.
Davis is the all-time leader in digs for the Mountain Lions with 2,170 digs which also ranks second among active Division II players. Davis is a two-time All-MEC Second Team selection having earned honors from the league in 2024 and 2025. Entering her final home game, Davis is second in the MEC in digs per set (5.11). Poticher, a two-sport standout as she also doubles in the throwing events during the track & field seasons, has played in 63 career matches.
A top-three assist leader in program history, Richmond is bearing down on 2,500 career assists as she needs 35 to break the barrier. The Martinsburg, West Virginia native ranks third in program history in assists. Sweeney, a fellow setter, has appeared in 70 career matches in a three-year span as she has logged 718 career assists coming off the bench with Davila.
Thompson is closing in on becoming one of four players in program history with 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs. The Cool Ridge, West Virginia native is already fifth in program history in kills (1,215) while needing 34 digs to reach 1,000 for her career. Thompson was named All-MEC Honorable Mention at the conclusion of the 2024 season. One of the all-time greats in program history, Williams is a two-time All-MEC First Team performer, a two-time member of the All-MEC Tournament and one of three players in program history with 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs. Williams ranks second in program history with 1,431 kills and 10th with 1,298 digs.
SHOOTING FOR SEASON SWEEP OF THE BEARSÂ
The Mountain Lions head into this upcoming contest looking to secure the season sweep of Shawnee State by replicating the dominant blueprint from their previous meeting on October 6, 2026, where they dictated the pace from start to finish behind a blistering .299 team hitting percentage and held the Bears to just .018. To successfully close out the season series, the Mountain Lions must lean on their high-efficiency offensive distribution led by senior outside hitter
Meg Williams (10 kills, .429 clip) and junior right side
Maddie Stull (9 kills, .318 clip), paired with pristine setting from senior setter
Paige Richmond to keep Shawnee State's blockers off-balance. Defensively, maintaining discipline at the net and back line, and matching the intensity of
Addie Adkins's five blocks and
Allie Davis's 24-dig performance from their previous outing, will neutralize the Bears' attack early and ensure Concord completes the sweep.
20/20 VISION
Concord has the historic potential to secure 20 wins in back-to-back seasons for the first time in 24 years, with the last occurrence dating back to the 2001 and 2002 campaigns. Driving this remarkable momentum is a powerhouse core anchored in the front row by senior middle blocker Jasmine Anderson and Adkins, with the dominant duo combining for over 600 career blocks to completely lock down the net. Alongside Anderson and Adkins, seasoned stat-leaders like senior outside hitter Meg Williams and junior right side Maddie Stull continue to power the offensive attack with elite efficiency, backed by senior setter Paige Richmond orchestrating the offense. Supported by defensive anchor Allie Davis locking down the back row, this veteran-led group's career-best consistency is making this milestone 20-win pursuit truly unforgettable.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
The Bears head into this matchup looking to keep their momentum rolling, anchored by a balanced attack that averages 10.53 kills per set on a .160 team hitting percentage. Offensively, Shawnee State relies heavily on Kaylee McInnis, who paces the squad with 2.17 kills per set and a .149 hitting percentage, alongside Bree Hicks (2.15 kills/set) and Camille Hall (1.63 kills/set, .276 hitting clip). Setting duties are orchestrated primarily by Jalynn West, who dishes out a team-best 6.62 assists per set while also adding 26 service aces. Defensively, the back row is anchored by Graci Claxon and Mylee Gleim, helping the Bears slow down opposing attacks.
