SETTING UP FOR GREATNESS
Senior setter Paige Richmond has been a model of consistency and precision while quarterbacking the team's offense. Her stellar playmaking ability recently culminated in an impressive stretch of three consecutive matches recording at least 25 assists. Overall, she anchors the passing game as the primary playmaker with an average of 5.33 assists per set. Additionally, her remarkable vision on the court has accumulated 2,415 career assists, cementing her place as the third all-time assist leader in program history.Â
THE GREAT WALL
Defensive powerhouse and senior middle blocker Jasmine Anderson is rapidly approaching a major milestone as she needs just one more block to reach 350 career blocks (1.27 per set in 2026). She and sophomore middle blocker Addie Adkins currently form a formidable frontline duo that anchors the team's defensive efforts. In fact, they stand out as one of only two pairs of teammates in the region averaging at least one block per set, with Adkins currently chipping in 1.04 blocks per set. This stifling net defense gives Concord a massive edge against opponents trying to break through their frontline.
BREAKING THE THRESHOLD
Concord enters this matchup looking to capitalize on valuable momentum gained from competitive performances last season. The team previously fought hard to take a set from UC during the MEC tournament in 2025, proving it can hang with top-tier competition. Now, they are eager to get over the hump and secure a statement win against Charleston on the road. Statistically, Concord holds strong team advantages to fuel this push, averaging 12.3 kills per set on a .194 hitting percentage compared to Charleston's 11.1 kills per set and .161 clip.
DOMINATING THE PIONEERS
Concord enters its final road game of the season looking to secure a complete regular-season sweep over Glenville State. CU previously asserted absolute control when they swept the Pioneers earlier in the year. That dominance reached its peak during a blowout second set where Concord smothered Glenville, holding it to just 3 points in a 25–3 rout. Bolstered by a sturdy team defense averaging 2.5 blocks and 16.4 digs per set, the Mountain Lions are well-positioned to replicate that success.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
The Golden Eagles bring a balanced and potent attack to the court, averaging 11.1 kills per set led by offensive threats Patrycja Majos (2.30 kills/set), Jasmine Broberg (2.31 kills/set), and Divine Muo (2.10 kills/set). Efficiency at the net is anchored by Kate Strong, who boasts a team-high .295 hitting percentage. Primary playmaker London Upchurch orchestrates the offense with 4.82 assists per set, while Sahana Rajesh anchors the back-row defense with a stellar 4.98 digs per set. Additionally, Strong provides a formidable defensive wall at the net, averaging 1.44 blocks per set.
The Pioneers lean on a high-octane offensive output powered by Gracie Brown (3.37 kills/set on a .242 clip), Juliana Nunez (2.90 kills/set), and Kendel Harris (1.85 kills/set). Deniz Selen Yazar provides incredible efficiency for the attack, hitting a scorching .367 alongside a team-leading 0.31 aces per set. Setting duties are smoothly orchestrated by Irmak Bezek, who paces the offense with 6.47 assists per set. Defensively, Kassie Swink leads the back-row effort with 2.74 digs per set, while Yazar and Mikayla Curry help control the net.
