A SWEET SWEEP
The Mountain Lions look ahead to sweeping WVSU in a single season for the first time in a decade this week. Concord already secured a 3-1 victory over the Yellow Jackets earlier this season in Institute, and returning to the Carter Center gives the team a prime opportunity to seal the regular-season series sweep. Entering the contest with a stellar 8-1 record at home, the Mountain Lions have all the momentum needed to replicate their earlier success against the Yellow Jackets.

TIME TO BOUNCE BACK
After coming back home with two tough losses on the road last week, Concord hopes to continue their success in the Carter Center starting with the Yellow Jackets. To spark a turnaround, the Mountain Lions will lean on a high-energy offense averaging 12.4 kills per set and a defesnive unit that racks up 17 digs per set. Bouncing back in front of their home fans will require a strong performance from statistical leaders including senior outside hitter Meg Williams and senior outside hitter Chloe Thompson as they look to secure a crucial conference victory.

SWINGING HARD AGAINST THE JACKETS
The Mountain Lions proved they can handle the Yellow Jackets during their 3-1 victory earlier this season. Concord completely controlled the pace at the Walker Convocation Center, out-hitting WVSU .296 to .130 behind a steller 59-kill team effort. Williams led the Charge with 18 kills, senior right side Maddie Stull added 13, and sophomore middle blocker Addie Adkins chipped in 12, while senior setter Paige Richmond orchestrated the attack with 28 assists alongside 15 from senior setter Haley Sweeney.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
The Yellow Jackets head into this matchup looking to keep their momentum rolling, anchored by a balanced attack that averages 12.29 kills per set on a .169 team hitting percentage. Offensively, West Virginia State relies heavily on Carmen Pérez, who paces the squad with 200 total kills (2.63 per set) and a .205 hitting percentage, alongside Deniz Akgul (2.09 kills/set) and Gabrielle Elliott (2.08 kills/set). Setting duties are shared dynamically, with Kelsey Mckeehan dishing out 5.58 assists per set and Audrey Buck adding 4.54 assists per set while also serving up a team-high 35 aces. Defensively, the back row is anchored by Lilly Adkins, who paces the team with 4.52 digs per set to help slow down opposing attacks.
