HISTORICAL DAY
Sophomore forward Tiana Campbell netted her first career hat trick in Concord's 3-0 win against Point Park in the MEC Quarterfinals Sunday afternoon. It was just the second hat trick in MEC Tournament history with Campbell joining Charleston's Lina Jaime from last year. And the Plymouth, England native's hat trick was an addition to her eight career braces. After Sunday's performance, Campbell is now tied for fifth in Division II with 15 goals this fall. The three goals scored by CU were the most in a conference tournament game since the spring 2021 season.

DISH IT OUT AND DEFEND
In scoring three goals Sunday, senior defender Jessica Neville and sophomore defender Ella Rowell assisted on two goals. Campbell's second goal that came off a free kick from Rowell, a fellow All-MEC First Team selection with Campbell. It was Rowell's sixth assist of the year which ties for her second in the MEC in assists—everyone in the league is chasing Concord's senior forward Caitlin Webster for the lead. Rowell's six assists are the most for a CU defender since Alyssa Mahar had eight in 2019. Neville picked up her third assist of the season on Campbell's final goal in the game. It was Neville's first assist since September 17 versus Glenville State.

HERE WE GO AGAIN
Wednesday will be the fourth time in the last seven postseasons that Concord and Fairmont State have met in the MEC Tournament. Last year, the sides met in the MEC Quarterfinals with FSU coming away with a 2-1 victory. Sophomore forward Ailsa Swinburne scored CU's only goal. The teams have also met in the spring 2021 MEC Tournament Semifinals and the 2019 MEC Championship. Concord won the first two postseason meetings between the Mountain Lions and the Fighting Falcons before FSU won last year. Concord has dropped four of the last five games to Fairmont State. Campbell had a brace earlier this year against FSU in a 3-2 loss October 1. Rowell and Webster assisted on the goals.

SLOW 'EM DOWN
Concord faces the top-scoring offense in Division II in Fairmont State who enters the contest with 68 goals, six ahead of Dallas Baptist. CU's defensive backline which has been Neville and sophomore defender Katie Garratt at center backs as of late along with Rowell at right back and freshman defender Molly Watters at left back have recorded nine shutouts this year which is tied for the MEC lead. Sophomore goalkeeper Maddie Loughborough is responsible for six solo shutouts. During CU's four-game win streak, the Mountain Lions have only allowed nine shots on goal. Fairmont State has scored three or more goals in 11 of 18 games this season.

SCOUTING THE FIGHTING FALCONS
The goal scoring for FSU has been evenly distributed with five players scoring at least five goals. Valentina Gianinetto has netted 11 goals while Monteserrat Diaz has scored 10 times. Diaz, Serenity Thomas and Dayra Dinarte were the goal scorers in Fairmont State's win at Concord in October. Olivia Johnston has spent nearly 1,300 minutes in goal, but did not play in the Fighting Falcons' MEC Quarterfinal win over Glenville State.
