A SEASON TO REMEMBER

Kai Forsyth and sophomore defender
Zakari Messam spearheaded the defensive effort. Concord also returns its second-leading scorer and All-MEC Second Team performer, senior forward
Fabian Amhof to lead the offensive production. Amhof found the back of the net six times and added five assists in 2023. Sophomore forward
Ignacio Alvarez Maina scored three times in 16 games played.
HOT START
The Mountain Lions are unbeaten in their last two season openers, defeating Salem 3-0 last season at home and tying King at home, 2-2, to start the 2022 season. Amhof assisted on one of three goals last season versus Salem while senior defender
Andre Sardinha added an assist on the final goal in the 89
th minute versus the Tigers. Additionally, CU was unbeaten in its first two road games of 2023 as it tied West Liberty and Wheeling on the road. Amhof and Forsyth scored in the 2-2 tie at WLU while Amhof scored in the 85
th minute at Wheeling last year to help secure a draw.
NEW FACE
Sunday will be the first time Concord faces Point Park in program history. In fact, it will be the first time playing a team from the state of Pennsylvania since traveling to Shippensburg in the second game of the 2017 campaign. The home field of Point Park is Highmark Stadium which is where the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the United Soccer League plays their home games. The stadium seats 5,000 and is situated along the Ohio River in downtown Pittsburgh.
