RALLY CATS
Concord erased a 2-1 deficit versus West Virginia Wesleyan Monday night as it downed the Bobcats in five sets. It was the fifth five-set contest that CU has been involved in this season as it now 3-2 in matches that go the distance. Additionally, the Mountain Lions have now been involved in at least five five-set matches in four straight seasons. Sophomore outside hitter Chloe Thompson netted a career-best 22 kills in the match. Sophomore defensive specialist Allie Davis tallied her 14th match this fall with at least 20 digs, and sophomore outside hitter Meg Williams notched her 13th double-double of the year as she finished with 16 kills and 11 digs.

RECORD BOOK WATCH
Three different Mountain Lions have their eye on some records ahead of Friday's matchup at Charleston. Davis is four digs shy of becoming the 11th player in program history with 1,000 digs, and the first since Lindsay Maddox (2017-21). After racking up four blocks versus West Virginia Wesleyan, senior middle hitter Kyndra Pilant is now alone in tenth in all-time blocks at CU with 259. And with 111 blocks this season, Pilant is eight blocks away from entering the top 10 in program history for single-season blocks. Williams needs three kills to move into 15th all-time in career kills at Concord as she currently has 716.

NEEDING FIVE
CU required five sets in early October to pick up its first win over Charleston since 2016, winning the decisive set 15-8. Williams (15), Pilant (13) and Thompson (12) all finished with double-digit kills. Williams chipped in 16 digs for one of her 13 double-doubles. Sophomore setter Paige Richmond just missed a double-double with 33 assists and nine digs. And sophomore right side Natalie Brown contributed in a multitude of ways with nine kills, a career-high six blocks and six digs. Concord hit an even .200 in the match while holding Charleston—a team that hits .223 for the season—to .162 n the first matchup.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Since losing at Concord on October 4, Charleston has run off 12 wins in its last 13 matches and has only lost five sets in that stretch. Dating back to last year, the Golden Eagles have won 21 straight matches at home. UC's offense is well balanced with no player averaging more than 2.9 kills per set. Emma Shepherd (2.98 kills/set), Riley Hoff (2.71) and Pia Selke (2.18) pace the attack. Kate Strong's 1.2 blocks per set rank second in the conference.
