HOME SWEET HOME
For the sixth straight year, CU will have at least one MEC Tournament home game when Sunday's game kicks off with the Hilltoppers. Concord has the longest active streak in the MEC of hosting at least one MEC postseason game. This season in particular, Concord has had great success at home by going 7-1 and outscoring opponents 35-6. The Mountain Lions are 10-2-1 in their last 13 home games dating back to the beginning of October of last season. Six of the ten goals for junior forward Sydney Tucker this season have come at home. Graduate forward Alexa Todd has scored five of her six goals in home games. And six of the eight assists for junior forward Nora Voisey have been at home in 2023.

BEATING THE BLACK AND YELLOW
Sunday will be the 17th all-time meeting between Concord and West Liberty, but the first in the MEC Tournament. The Mountain Lions have not lost to WLU since September 2015. On October 15, CU outshot the Hilltoppers, 23-9,  but only scored one goal in the win over West Liberty. Sophomore midfielder Reeanna Cook scored one of her six goals for the fall off a free kick in the 49th minute. Graduate defender Olivia Bekeleski and junior midfielder Leah Fleming both took four shots in the game while junior goalkeeper Savannah Bates needed to make three saves to earn the shutout.

TOURNAMENT SUCCESS
For the first time since 2017, the Mountain Lions failed to win an MEC Tournament game last fall as it lost 2-1 to Charleston in the MEC Quarterfinals. Cook accounted for the lone goal. However, under head coach Luke Duffy, CU is 7-3-1 in the MEC Tournament—games that go to penalty kicks count as a tie. Bekeleski will play in her 11th career postseason game Sunday, counting her four NCAA Tournament games from 2021. Sunday will be the eighth career postseason game for Fleming. The Hilltoppers are seeking their first MEC Tournament win since a penalty kick victory over Fairmont State in the quarterfinal round in 2018.

WEST LIBERTY AT A GLANCE
