ATHENS, W.Va. – Senior
Noah Clark of the Concord University men's golf team has been selected to the College Sports Information Directors (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team, the organization released Thursday afternoon.
Clark, a native of Pearisburg, Virginia, was one of three Mountain East Conference athletes named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large Team along West Liberty's Cole Laya (wrestling) and Anton Schulz (tennis).
Clark lands on the CoSIDA Academic District Team for the first time in his career. He finished his senior season by scoring 73.4 on average over 25 rounds of competition. Clark had 11 of 25 rounds at or below par, and in April tied the single-round program record with a 66 at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Among Clark's other accolades during the 2021-22 season was an All-MEC Honorable selection as well as qualifying for the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Championship in Victor, New York. By virtue of his top-20 at the regional tournament, he was named to the PING All-Atlantic Region Team earlier this week.
In the classroom, Clark graduated from CU this spring with a 3.65 GPA as a political science major.
Clark becomes the first CoSIDA Academic All-District standout in program history since Evan Muscari in 2013-14. Furthermore, Clark now advances on the CoSIDA ballot for Academic All-American consideration.
