ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University men's and women's track & field teams will be action at two different meets this weekend. On Friday, CU will be at the Jasmine Claggett Memorial Invite hosted by West Virginia Wesleyan. The Mountain Lions will also travel 12 athletes to the Flames Invite hosted by Lee in Cleveland, Tennessee.

LAST TIME OUT
Concord competed at High Point's VertKlasse Meeting last weekend. Senior
Issac Prather headlined the results for the Mountain Lions as he won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 8:54.09, clocking the fifth-fastest time in Division II this season. It led to Prather being the Mountain East Conference Athlete for a third straight week. Fifth-year senior
Marcus Wilson broke a 19-year old program record in the 400-meter hurdles by running 54.02 seconds and finishing seventh. Freshman
Logan Zuchelli was seventh in the steeplechase as he ran 9:30.96. Fifth-year senior
JT Turner was 17
th in the shot put (12.22 meters) and 20
th in the hammer throw (31.27 meters).
In women's action, junior
Emily Wallace lowered her MEC-best time in the 1,500-meters by clocking 4:37.53. She finished sixth overall. Freshman
Erin O'Sullivan was 11
th in the steeplechase with a showing of 11:53.88. Senior
Jada Strachan sprinted to a personal-best time of 1:00.21 in the 400-meter dash which ranks fourth in the MEC this spring. Junior
Maggie Thompson cleared 1.41 meters in the high jump to place 16
th. She had a triple jump of 10.44 meters which was good enough for 18
th at High Point.

CU sends nine men to the start line in five different events in Tennessee. Entered in the 10,000-meter run are fifth-year senior

Nate Leichner and sophomore
Preston Prather. I. Prather and Zuchelli will line up in the 5,000-meter run. Freshman
Ethan Board and junior
Alex Watty race the 800-meter run. Senior
Cedric Drennen (1,500-meters) and Wilson (400-meter hurdles) round out the entries. O'Sullivan and Wallace will be in the 5,000-meters while junior
Hannah Altizer, the current program record holder in the 10,000-meters, will make her season debut in the event.
WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN ENTRIES
One of the featured events for Concord will be the 1,500-meters as six athletes toe the line. Senior

Jenna Cooper competes in the high jump and long jump and Davis is scheduled for the long jump.
