MEC Performance List
ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University men's and women's track & field teams head to the Golden Eagle Invite hosted by the University of Charleston at Laidley Field Saturday.
LAST TIME OUT
Concord traveled to two different meets last weekend, at West Virginia Wesleyan and at Lee University.
Three school records fell at Lee with two being recorded for the women's program. Junior
Hannah Altizer eclipsed her own school record in the 10,000-meter run by 23 seconds as she clocked 38:31.50. It's the second-fastest 10,000-meter time in the MEC this season. Fellow junior
Emily Wallace ran six seconds faster than her previous program mark in the 5,000-meter run as she came through in 17:47.75. Senior
Issac Prather clocked 14:06.84 in the men's 5,000-meters to post a school record, and in the process ran the seventh-fastest time in Division II this season. Other top performances at Lee included fifth-year senior
Marcus Wilson running 56.01 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles to place fourth.
The Mountain Lion women finished fourth at Wesleyan's meet. Junior
Maggie Thompson (third) and sophomore
Jenna Cooper (fifth) both scored points in the long jump. Thompson was the runner-up in the triple jump with a distance of 10.72 meters. Thompson was also third in the high jump (1.45 meters). The 4x400-meter relay team of sophomore

Raheem Williams was fourth in the 800-meter run (2:01.67). Williams added a fifth-place showing in the 1,500-meter run (4:12.79). CU's 4x400-meter relay made up of senior

Already with a top-five time nationally in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Prather looks to improve on his time of 8:54.09 from earlier this year as he lines up in the event with fifth-year senior

Logan Zuchelli. Barbera is currently 16
th in the MEC in the event while Hatcher makes his season debut. Freshman
Ethan Board makes his collegiate debut in the 1,500-meters at UC as he headlines the field that also includes Baldwin (4:14 entry), Wilson (4:23), freshman
Madoc Lathroum (4:49) and freshman
Logan Ramsey (4:50). In the 400-meters, freshman
Ian Gardner looks to improve his ninth-place ranking in the MEC along with junior
Alex Watty, freshman
Prince Bhebhe, fifth-year senior
Ryan Muse and freshman Michael Kwayke.
Altizer will be on the track for the 5,000-meters this weekend along with junior
Gretchen Mills and the freshmen quartet of
Britney Cochran,
Madison Cornett,
Lia Jennings and
Tori Parks. Wallace who is currently fourth in the 800-meters will race alongside Altizer, Parsons and Strachan. In field event action, Thompson is entered in both the high and long jumps. She is just one of four athletes in the MEC this season to have a mark of at least five meters. Sophomore
Kennedi Plymal is ranked in the top 10 of the shot put in the conference, but sits on the bubble of the discus with a distance of 29.03 meters this season, good enough for 14
th.
