HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Concord University men's track & field team had several top-10 finishes at the Bob Davidson Classic hosted by High Point at Vert Stadium Friday and Saturday.
The Mountain Lions had an overall winner in the 1,500-meter run as senior
Issac Prather crossed in 3:58.99. He was the only athlete in the field to break four minutes. Senior
Cedric Drennen followed in fourth as he stopped the timer at 4:03.72. Freshman
Logan Zuchelli was in the top 10 as his time of 4:05.92 was good enough for ninth.
Sophomore
Preston Prather was 15
th (4:08.27) and fifth-year senior
Samuel Haynes (4:15.36) came through in 20
th.
CU put six more athletes in the top 20 of the 800-meter run. I. Prather was fourth in a time of 1:58.04. Drennen just missed going under two minutes in a time of 2:01.54, good enough for eighth. Fifth-year senior
Raheem Williams was 11
th (2:03.71), Zuchelli placed 12
th (2:04.09), P. Prather finished 13
th (2:04.68) and Haynes came through in 19
th (2:08.49).

Alex Watty and fifth-year senior
Marcus Wilson recorded a time of 3:30.37 to finish fifth.
Gardner had a strong showing in his individual event of the 400-meter dash as he clocked 50.27 seconds to place seventh. Board crossed in 52.48 seconds to finish 15
th and freshman
Prince Bhebhe was 18
th in a showing of 53.10 seconds.
Wilson posted a time of 55.57 seconds to place seventh in the 400-meter hurdles. Freshman
Jonny Sweeney ran 1:07.57, finishing 16
th.
Fifth-year senior
JT Turner was 15
th in the shot put with a mark of 11.19 meters.
Concord heads to the Dr. Jack Toms Invite next weekend, hosted by Lynchburg College.
