HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Concord University men's track & field team finished fifth at the Mountain East Conference Championships that concluded Saturday afternoon at the Cline Indoor Complex.
The Mountain Lions finished with 63 points as it was edged out by Glenville State for fourth by five points. Charleston was the team champion with 184.5 points.
Senior
Issac Prather headlined day two action with a win in the 3,000-meter run. Prather held off Charleston's Thomas Termote who had edged out Prather in the 5,000-meter run Friday night. The Summersville, West Virginia native clocked 8:21.82 to win by two seconds. Three other CU runners were in the scoring in the 3,000-meters. Sophomore

Cedric Drennen placed sixth as he crossed in 8:42.03. Freshman
Logan Zuchelli ran 8:42.09 to finish seventh.
Drennen and Zuchelli put together an impressive double on Saturday. Drennen was a scorer in the mile as he finished sixth in a time of 4:23.95. Zuchelli crossed in ninth (4:27.70).
Freshman
Terryn Patterson-Bryant sprinted to a fourth-place showing in the 60-meter dash as he clocked 7.06 seconds. Fellow freshman
Ian Gardner finished fourth in the 400-meter run as he crossed the tape in 49.46, a personal-best mark.
In the 800-meter run, junior
Alex Watty ran 1:57.23 to sport a fifth-place finish. Freshman
Ethan Board was the final scorer in the event as he placed eighth in a time of 1:59.62.
The 4x400-meter relay team of freshman
Prince Bhebhe, Board, Gardner and Watty combined for a time of 3:28.24 to finish seventh.

JT Turner was 14
th in the weight throw with a toss of 9.39 meters.
