LIGHTING UP THE SCOREBOARD
The Mountain Lions scored a season-best seven goals in a convincing 7-0 win over West Liberty Sunday afternoon. Fifth-year senior forward
Leah Foster tied the single-game program record in goals as she netted four—two in each half. Senior midfielder
Michelle Brogden notched her second career brace with two first-half goals. Additionally, Foster went over 140 points for her career and now has 141. Fellow senior midfielder
Courtney Smith tied her own program record with three assists. Brogden and Foster have also had three-assist games in their careers as has Emily Cole from the 2015 season. Senior forward
Rachel Bell continued her stellar run of play as she assisted on two goals to give her 12 points over the last four games.
STREAKS ON THE LINE
Concord carries not only a four-game winning streak for this fall into Wednesday, but also a five-game winning streak against the Cardinals in the all-time series. Over the last three meetings, CU has outscored Wheeling 19-1. Foster has accounted for four goals and an assist in the last three games against WU. Smith has scored in both her career games against WU with three goals and two assists. Brogden's three-assist game came as a freshman at Wheeling as she has accounted for four assists to go with a goal in her career. Senior defender
Zoe Belding has scored twice versus Wheeling, and senior defender
Edie deMedicis and sophomore forward
Nora Voisey both netted a score last year.
PIVOTAL GAME
It was announced Monday that the MEC Tournament will expand to the top four teams in each division for the 2022 postseason. Concord starts the week in third place in the MEC South, but only two points behind Charleston. A second-place finish in the division would secure a home tournament game for the Mountain Lions. While CU does not play a team with a winning record to finish the season, the final four games for Charleston are all against teams with at least a .500 record. Wheeling is third in the MEC North and is looking to secure its first postseason berth since 2010.

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
The Cardinals are currently on 16 points which is four better than fourth-place Notre Dame and six points ahead of West Liberty. Wheeling has been slightly better in road games this season that includes a seven-goal performance at Glenville State Sunday. The Cardinals came back from 3-2 down to win 7-4 against GSU. Talynn DeBartolo scored twice over the weekend. Kenadee Burgoyne and Mary DiFonzo each have six goals to lead the scoring.
