RECORDS
The Mountain Lions are 1-0 this season after picking up a 3-1 win over Chowan Thursday at home.

Lees-McRae has started the season 2-0 after wins over Mars Hill and USC-Aiken.

FAST START
The Mountain Lions won their fifth consecutive season-opening game with the victory of Chowan. Junior forward and reigning Mountain East Conference Offensive Player of the Week Rachel Bell assured that Concord never trailed in the game as she scored just 65 seconds into Thursday's contest. The Brampton, England native picked up a second goal in the 69th minute to extend CU's lead to 2-0 at the time. It was Bell's fifth career multi-goal game, and her second goal was the 20th of her career, tying her for 10th on Concord's career goals list with Kelsey Ballard (2008-11). While Bell recorded her 20th career goal, freshman forward Kylene Franklin netted her first career goal with less than 10 minutes left. Senior forward Leah Foster assisted on all three Mountain Lion goals to push her career assist total to 24, second all-time at Concord.

OLD MEMORIES
Head coach Luke Duffy will return to his alma mater for Tuesday's contest at the Banner Elk, North Carolina-based school. Duffy is a 2012 graduate of LMC after a very successful playing career for the Bobcats. For the Lees-McRae's men's soccer team, Duffy helped lead it to the 2009 Division II National Championship Game and was a First Team All-American. Duffy was part of 63 wins at LMC from 2008-11. Tuesday night will also be a homecoming of sorts for freshman goalkeeper Savannah Bates (Forest City, N.C. native) and senior midfielder Abby Wishon (Statesville, N.C. native) as both grew up less than two hours from Lees-McRae.

NON-CONFERENCE SUCCESS
Tuesday night will also be the second and final non-conference game of the season for the Mountain Lions. Under Duffy—now in his sixth season—Concord is 9-3-1 in non-conference clashes, having won nine of the previous 11. CU went 4-0 in non-league contests in 2019 by outscoring opponents 15-1. Bell was responsible for nearly half of the goals, seven, as she racked up at least one goal in all four non-conference games in 2019, including a hat trick at Salem. Tuesday night will be just the second all-time meeting between Concord and Lees-McRae. The Mountain Lions picked up a 1-0 road win in 2005.

LEES-MCRAE AT A GLANCE
Three different players, Taylor Barrineau, Haley Lowman and Alexa Todd, are responsible for the LMC goals this season. The Bobcats' defense has only allowed eight shots on goal in two games with Haile Desmarais and Mallory Roughton combining to stop seven of the eight shots they've faced. Lees-McRae is just two years removed from going 1-13-1, but went 5-3-2 during the spring season.
