RECORDS
The Mountain Lions finished the 2019 season with a mark of 19-2 as they won the Mountain East Conference Championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.

West Virginia State is in its first year of varsity soccer after playing a JV season in 2019. WVSU was 10-1 during the JV slate.

HERE COMES THE CHAMPS
Concord is 14-1-1 in its last 16 MEC regular-season games including finishing last year on a 12-game winning streak against MEC foes in the regular season. CU also won both MEC Tournament games by a score of 2-0. Of the last 14 regular-season conference victories for Concord, eight have been by at least three goals. Over the last two seasons, junior forward Leah Foster has 25 goals and 18 assists. Her 68 career points are eight in program history, five behind Katie Cuviello (2006-09) for seventh. Senior midfielder Yasmin Mosby has 10 goals and eight assists over the last seasons, including three game-winning goals. Foster was an All-American last season while Mosby landed on the all-region second team. Meanwhile, sophomore forward Rachel Bell scored a team-best 17 goals last season on her way to becoming the MEC Freshman of the Year.

CLEAN SHEETS
Junior goalkeeper Leah Marsh inherits a full-time starting role this spring after backing up graduated goalkeeper Katie Maher for the last two seasons. Marsh posted a single-season program record 0.16 goals-against average in 2019 as she allowed one goal in just over 550 minutes in net. Marsh had four shutouts in five starts a season ago and made 10 saves. As a defensive unit, Concord posted 13 shutouts in 2019, tied for 11th in Division II, led by the defensive backline of sophomore defender Zoe Belding, senior defender Alyssa Mahar and junior defender Leigh Wightman. Mahar also had eight assists from her right back position.

HERE TO ASSIST YOU
Last season, sophomore midfielder Michelle Brogden made an instant impact for the Concord offense as she tied Foster for the team high in assists with 12. The North Shields, England native became CU's designated corner kick taker for much of the season. Two of her 12 assists were crucial as both Concord goals in the MEC Semifinals were off corner kicks delivered by Brogden into the penalty area. The 12 assists by Brogden and Foster are tied for the most in a single season in program history.

WEST VIRGNIA STATE AT A GLANCE
Lisa Mann, a native of Newcastle, England, is the head coach of the Yellow Jackets, and her international background has helped her land players from seven different countries. WVSU defeated Concord's developmental team twice during the fall of 2019 as it outscored the Mountain Lion reserves 4-0 in the two meetings. The lone loss for West Virginia State during its startup season in 2019 was a 3-0 setback against Davis & Elkins.
