ON ASSUMING HER ROLE AT CONCORD
Being here at Concord, it wasn't a walk in the park at first. At Cape Fear, I started no questions asked. I could do what I wanted on and off the field. When I got here, Luke told me I had a role to play. This is what I need from you. I understand you're a little bit different—you're a transfer. The style of play is much different. These are the tasks I need you to do when you're in the game, and if you can do it, then we're set. He said, "run around, be busy, breakup play, complete passes." That's all he really asked of me.
ON THE EXPERIENCE OF THE NCAA TOURNAMENT
That whole experience of traveling to the NCAA Tournament, I felt like I was royalty. It was awesome. We got a charter bus, we went out to a really nice restaurant. It was nice to know that we had the support of the Concord staff, even though we're going so far away. It was so heartbreaking that our season did end so quickly once we got to that point. I was sad for the seniors, but I was proud that we made it and how much we've grown as a team.
