Morgan Carmichael was voted as the MEC Defensive Player of the Year, forward
Rachel Bell was the MEC Freshman of the Year and head coach
Luke Duffy was the MEC Coach of the Year. Foster and Carmichael become the first conference players of the year for CU since 2006. Duffy joins current CU men's head coach
Steve Barrett as the only coaches in program history to win league coach of the year when he was named to the honor in 2002 and 2006. Bell is the first conference freshman of the year in program history.
Junior midfielder
Mira Kontio earned her first All-MEC honor by landing on the first team. Freshman midfielder
Michelle Brogden, junior defender
Alyssa Mahar and junior midfielder
Yasmin Mosby were members of the All-MEC Second Team. Junior goalkeeper

RECORD BREAKERSÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
The Mountain Lions have already broken their own MEC single-season record for goals with 66 this season after scoring 56 times in 2018. Concord is tied for second in Division II in goals with Colorado Springs and Flagler. Bell set the MEC record for goals in a single season with 16 during her debut season, and she ranks in a tie for 14
th nationally in goals. With Bell's 16 goals, Foster's 15 and Kontio's 10, Concord is the only team in the Atlantic Region with multiple players that have at least 10 goals this season. The entire region only has 13 players with 10 or more goals, and CU makes up 23 percent.
BRICK WALL
The Mountain Lions possess one of the best defenses in Division II—one of 18 teams in Division II to allow than 10 goals this season. Concord has outscored its opponents 66-7 this season while posting 12 shutouts, tied for 10
th in Division II. Carmichael became the fourth CU player to be named first team all-conference three times with Tuesday's announcement and the first since
Kari Simon (2013-15). Mahar is also a threat offensively as she led all MEC defenders in assists with eight and ranked third overall. Maher's 0.49 goals against average is 16
th in Division II.
NAIL BITERS
Concord is just 3-9-1 against Notre Dame in the all-time series, but the three victories have come since the start of the 2017 season, including CU winning 1-0 in last season's MEC Semifinals at NDC. Additionally, the last seven games between the two sides have been decided by two goals or less including the last three by a single score. Junior midfielder
Yasmin Mosby has had a flare for the dramatics versus the Falcons. Last season, she had the game-winning goal in the 59
th minute. Just last week, Mosby fired the game-winning goal in the 103
rd minute to down Notre Dame, 2-1.
NOTRE DAME AT A GLANCE
The Falcons are allowing just under a goal per game as they have limited opponents to 17 scores in 2019. Though NDC did not have anyone on the All-MEC First Team, its strong defensive lineup was evident as goalkeeper Jordan Pasalaqua and defenders Kady Cushing and April Gaukin were on the All-MEC Second Team. Alyssa Soltis and Andrea Spinelli were the goal scorers for Notre Dame versus Urbana. Soltis netted her team-best sixth goal of the season. Of the four remaining teams in the MEC Tournament—Concord, Fairmont State, NDC and West Virginia Wesleyan—the Falcons have the fewest goals with 25.
