ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team begins a two-game road trip by playing Wheeling 7:00 p.m. Wednesday before heading to Urbana 12:30 p.m. Saturday in a pair of Mountain East Conference games.

RECORDS
Concord's next win will be a program record for a single season as it stands at 13-1 overall and 9-1 in the MEC.
Wheeling is still looking for its first win of the season with an 0-14 mark and is 0-11 against MEC foes.
Urbana is 5-7-1 this season and is 5-5-1 versus the league.
WINNING TIME
With a 2-0 win over West Liberty on Senior Day in Beckley, West Virginia Sunday, the Mountain Lions tied the single-season program wins record with their 13
th victory of the season. The 2002 team also won 13 games. Junior midfielder
Mira Kontio scored both goals for CU to run her streak of consecutive games with at least one goal to six. Only 12 teams in all of Division II have one or no losses including Concord. The roll the Mountain Lions have been on have them receiving votes in the national poll for a second straight week.
COLLECTING HARDWARE
Junior defender
Morgan Carmichael was named MEC Defensive Player of the Week after scoring a goal and assisting on another in a 6-0 win over Davis & Elkins. Carmichael also helped CU to two shutouts. Leah Foster have been named MEC Offensive Players of the Week this season as well. The quartet of Mountain Lions have tied the MEC record for most players of the week from a single program in the same season—set by West Virginia Wesleyan last season.
ROAD WARRIORS
While Beckley has become a home away from home for CU this season, the Mountain Lions are 10-1 in games away from Athens in 2019 including a 5-1 record in true road games. Concord has outscored opponents 19-4 in road games. Over the last two seasons, the Mountain Lions are 13-2-2 in road games that included wins at Urbana, 5-1, and at Wheeling, 3-2, in 2018.
STRIKING SUCCESS
In two of the last three meetings, Concord has scored 11 goals against Urbana as junior midfielder
Courtney Wallace has two career goals. Wallace also added a goal in a 2017 meeting with Wheeling. Kontio and her six-game scoring streak scored one of the three goals at Wheeling last season.
WHEELING AT A GLANCE
The Cardinals are coming off a 3-2 overtime loss to Glenville State in which both teams did not have a conference win going into the contest. Kenadee Burgoyne and Marley Magruder each have three goals to pace WU. Goalkeeper Megan Herter is fourth in the MEC with 75 saves.
URBANA AT A GLANCE
Urbana's next win will match its total from the two previous seasons combined after winning three games each of the last two years. Urbana plays Frostburg State in a pivotal MEC North game Wednesday as UU is two points behind FSU for the final playoff spots in the division. Alyssa Edwards have five goals this season on just 17 shots on goal. Hazel Sanz, a previous MEC Defensive Player of the Week winner, has 106 saves and three shutouts this season.
