ATHENS, W.Va. – Two of the top teams in the Mountain East Conference clash when the Concord University women's soccer team travels to Fairmont State 4:00 p.m. Sunday.

RECORDS
Concord is 8-1 overall and 4-1 in the MEC. The Mountain Lions are tied at the top of the MEC South with Davis & Elkins and West Virginia Wesleyan.
Fairmont State leads the MEC North with 16 points. FSU is 6-3-1 and 5-1-1 in the MEC.
MAN ADVANTAGE
In its 3-0 win over Charleston on Wednesday, the Mountain Lions were forced to play with 10 players for the final 58 minutes. Concord scored all three goals in the game after the lineup was trimmed to 10 players. Junior midfielder

Mira Kontio tallied her second goal of the year. It was the seventh time in nine games that CU has scored two or more goals including outscoring the Golden Eagles 5-0 in two meetings this season.
AMONG THE BEST
Although she didn't score against Charleston, freshman forward
Rachel Bell is tied for 12
th in Division II in goals scored this season with 10. Among regional players, Bell only trails IUP's Mahogany Willis as the top goal scorer in the Atlantic Region. With her score against Charleston, Foster moved into a tie for third in goals scored in the MEC. Meanwhile, Foster is second in points in the MEC with 17, only behind Bell's 21 points. Not only has Concord buried 28 goals on the season, but CU has only allowed three goals through nine goals. The Mountain Lions' seven shutouts are tied for fifth in Division II and their three goals allowed are tied for fourth fewest in Division II.
TWO-WAY PLAYERS

Alyssa Mahar and sophomore
Leigh Wightman have limited the opposition, but the trio has combined for three assists this season. Mahar has two assists in the last four games while Wightman assisted on a goal in a 6-0 victory over Glenville State last week.
FINDING SUCCESS AGAINST FAIRMONT STATE
Since Fairmont State began its women's soccer program prior to the 2015 season, Concord is 4-1-1 against the Fighting Falcons with the only loss coming on the road in 2017. For her career, junior midfielder
Courtney Wallace has four career points while Carmichael and junior midfielder
Yasmin Mosby each have three points. Last season, sophomore midfielder
Olivia Dougherty and Foster each picked up an assist in a 3-0 Concord win at Anderson Field.
FAIRMONT STATE AT A GLANCE
Fairmont Sate has been almost as dominant as the Mountain Lions, outscoring its opponents 23-5 in 10 games this season. FSU goalkeeper Taylor Kennedy has stopped 85 percent of the shots sent her way and has 29 saves on 34 shots on goal by the opponent. Ari Christiansen has five goals to lead the way for the Fighting Falcons. Mackenzie Gillispie has netted four scores in 2019.
