ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team plays for the Mountain East Conference Championship 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Cebe Ross Field in Buckhannon, West Virginia against West Virginia Wesleyan.

Concord enters the MEC Title matchup with a record of 12-4-3.
Meanwhile, West Virginia Wesleyan is 13-1-3 this season after its victory over West Liberty in the MEC Semifinals.
MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
Concord is playing in the MEC Championship game for the first time in the history of the conference dating back to 2013.
The Mountain Lions defeated Notre Dame 1-0 Friday in the final four of the MEC Tournament to advance to Sunday's championship game.
Sophomore midfielder
Yasmin Mosby had the game-winning goal for the Mountain Lions as she knocked in her third goal of the season in the 59
thminute to give Concord all it needed for the win.
Over two games in the MEC Tournament, Mosby has three points after assisting on one of CU's four goals versus Charleston in the first round.
The only other Concord player with more than two points over the first two games in the MEC Tournament is freshman forward
Leah Foster who scored two goals against UC and has four points.
Additionally, Mosby becomes the seventh Concord player to tally at least 10 points this season. Senior forward
Pilar Elias leads the team with 25 points while Foster has 24 and sophomore midfielder
Courtney Wallace have 24.

Leigh Wightman limited NDC to six total shots and just three on goal.
Sunday's title game will be a matchup of the two top offenses in the MEC. The Mountain Lions have scored 57 goals this season while WVWC has notched 53 goals. Concord is 12
thin goals scored across Division II while West Virginia Wesleyan is 18
thin goals scored in 2018.
CU has scored three or more goals in nine games including three times in its five games.
The Maroon and Gray defense has been equally during the same stretch as it has limited teams to six shots or less on goals in six of the last eight games.
Over its program history, Concord is 3-21-4 versus West Virginia Wesleyan including losing twice this season.
Freshman forward
Maggie Hall and Wallace each have career goals versus the Bobcats.
WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN AT A GLANCE
The Bobcats defeated the Mountain Lions 4-1 at Anderson Field and also defeated Concord 3-1 at home.
West Virginia Wesleyan possesses both the MEC Offensive Player of the Year, Natalie Prater, and MEC Freshman of the Year, Makatlyn Tucker.
Prater leads the MEC in points this season with 31—the only player in the conference with more than 30 points in 2018. Meanwhile, Tucker is tied for seventh in points (21) with teammate Shannon Shawgo.
Of the top 10 scorers in the MEC, six will be featured in Sunday's final with each team having three.
