Hammonds helped the Mountain Lions to a team win at the Marietta First Glimpse over the weekend as she contributed to two wins. Hammonds won the long jump with a mark of 5.28 meters which is tied for fifth in the Mountain East Conference after the first week of competition. She was on the winning 4x400-meter relay team, and she placed third in the 55-meter dash in a time of 7.53 seconds which converts to 8.21 seconds for 60 meters.
