Weitzel ran the 12th-fastest 3,000-meter time in Division II this indoor season by clocking 8:18.03 (converted 8:12.31) at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina Friday night. Weitzel finished seventh in the race, but was the second among Division II athletes. Weitzel's time was also a school record
