HOLD 'EM DOWN
Concord and Point Park played to a scoreless tie Wednesday afternoon as CU outshot the Pioneers 23-6 in the contest. Junior goalkeeper Maddie Loughborough recorded her first shutout of the season, and the ninth solo clean sheet of her career. The Concord backline of senior Lotte Fasen, senior Katie Garratt, sophomore Jadyn Munford and junior Ella Rowell continued to be stout as over the last two games they have only allowed four shots on goal, and have held the opposition to three shots or less on goal in three of the last four contests.

LOOKING FOR A ROAD WIN
The Mountain Lions are seeking their first road win of the season as they square off with Wheeling Sunday afternoon. Two seasons ago, Concord cruised to a 6-0 win at Wheeling. Junior forward Ailsa Swinburne scored in the third minute as CU scored three goals in each half of the win. Rowell assisted on a 27^th-minute tally. Though the Maroon and Gray dominated on the scoreboard, Wheeling did get off 12 shots against the Concord defense. The Mountain Lions have won five straight games at Wheeling, and 10 in a row overall in the series. CU has outscored Wheeling 46-9 in those 10 games. Last season in Athens, Concord posted a 1-0 win, but outshot the Cardinals 29-2.

OPPORTUNITY AWAITS
Though Concord has only scored eight goals on the season, Sunday's matchup comes against the side that has allowed the most goals in the MEC in Wheeling. The Cardinals have surrendered a total of 26 goals with 17 coming in six conference contests. The Mountain Lions are second in the MEC with 135 total shots and are also second in the conference in shots on goals (70). Individually, sophomore midfielder Molly Watters is first in total shots in the MEC (26) while Rowell's 24 shots are third most in the MEC. Sophomore midfielder Daisy Cook, Garratt and Watters are all tied for second in the MEC with 10 shots on goal.

TOUGH CODE TO CRACK
Frostburg State has the MEC's best defense this season as the Bobcats have only allowed three goals. FSU's +14 goal difference is tied for first in the conference. Traditionally a stout defensive unit, Concord was able to break through for three goals in a 3-2 road win against Frostburg State last October. Cook had the middle goal for CU as the victory snapped a three-game losing streak versus the Bobcats. The teams meet for the 10^th time in the all-time series Wednesday afternoon. When Concord scores at least two goals against Frostburg State, the Maroon and Gray is a perfect 4-0 while only posting a 1-4 record when scoring one or no goals.

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Jeanery Diaz has scored three of the six goals for Wheeling while recording the only assist for the Cardinals. WU has played four goalkeepers this season with Madison Reis-Elbara starting six of the eight games between the posts. The only point that Wheeling has in conference play was a 2-2 draw at West Virginia State Wednesday evening.

SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
Paired with the MEC's best defense, Frostburg State is the second-best scoring offense behind four goals from Mollie Rebuck, second in the MEC. As a team, FSU has netted 17 goals as Rayiah Davis has scored three times, and Cassidy Paige has two goals and three assists. The only blemish on the conference portion of the schedule for Frostburg State was a 1-0 loss to Point Park last Sunday.
