POSTSEASON SCENARIOS
Concord heads into the final week of the regular season five points behind Charleston for the fourth and final tournament spot in the Mountain East Conference South Division. To qualify for the postseason, Concord must win both remaining games and have Charleston lose two OR two Concord wins and a tie by Charleston against West Virginia State, but CU would need to own the goal differential against UC. Charleston won 3-1 earlier this season versus the Mountain Lions.

FIRST TIME MEMBERS
In Sunday's win at Glenville State, which was important for the Mountain Lions to stay in the hunt for an MEC Tournament spot, sophomore defender Jadyn Munford scored her first career goal—it was the eventual game-winning goal in the 64th minute. Munford's goal came from just inside 45 yards as she twisted it past the GSU goalkeeper.  On Concord's first goal of the game against the Pioneers, junior midfielder Eve Harriott tallied her first career assist in the Maroon and Gray. Harriott had previously scored her first CU goal at Wheeling September 27. Munford became the 10th different goal scorer for the Mountain Lions in 2026.

SOMETHING HAS TO GIVE
Entering Sunday, Concord is 1-5-1 at home this season. Charleston has an identical mark on the road this season. CU's lone win at Callaghan Stadium in 2026 came September 13 versus Shawnee State. Meanwhile, the Golden Eagles' only win away from Charleston was a 3-1 victory at Wheeling October 4. Despite the single win for the Mountain Lions in Athens this season, several games for the Maroon and Gray have been close. Concord has only been outscored by two goals at home this season, 11-9, with five of the seven games either being one-goal difference or ending in a draw. Charleston has been outscored 11-5 in seven road games this fall.

TIME FOR A WIN
Concord is seeking to break a nine-game winless streak versus UC as the Mountain Lions have gone 0-7-2 versus the Golden Eagles since a 1-0 road win in September 2022. Sophomore midfielder Daisy Cook supplied the only goal in a 3-1 loss at Charleston in the MEC opener for both teams September 6. Last year's contest at CU in late October featured six goals with the teams walking away with a point each in a 3-3 draw. Junior midfielder Stephanie Tovar hit for a goal in the 19th minute while senior defender Katie Garratt had the game-tying and final goal of the contest with a strike from just inside the half line in the 69th minute. The Maroon and Gray has recorded 50 shots in their last three games versus UC.

SEASON SWEEP POTENTIAL
The Mountain Lions can take the season series from Shawnee State in the Bears' first year in the MEC with a win Wednesday. Concord rolled to a 6-0 win earlier in the year versus SSU. Cook and Garratt both had braces in the contest, the first career two-goal games for each. Junior midfielder Lilly Lucas and sophomore defender Molly Watters also scored in the contest. Only two of the six goals were assisted as freshman forward Ela Marit Del Orbe, junior forward Ailsa Swinburne and junior defender Ella Rowell each picked up assists. CU held a 32-2 shots advantage in the game.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Charleston rallied late in each of its last two games to pick up what could be crucial points in the MEC Tournament race. UC scored in the final 75 seconds Wednesday to tie Glenville State, 2-2. And against Shawnee State Sunday, the Golden Eagles erased 2-1 deficit in the final 20 minutes to pick up three points. Li-Lou Debaecker is tied for fifth in the MEC in goals with six. Debaecker, Zailee Roberts and Devan Rosenzweig scored versus CU in September.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
Though the Bears have only one win on the year, a 2-1 victory against Davis & Elkins, they have been pesky for teams. Shawnee State nearly took down Charleston last weekend, and before that nearly came back to tie Glenville State at 2-2. Lucie Ashkettle is responsible for three of the seven goals in 2026 for Shawnee State.
