ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team played to a 0-0 tie against Point Park Wednesday afternoon in a Mountain East Conference game at Callaghan Stadium.

CU (1-6-1, 1-4-1 MEC) held a 23-6 advantage in total shots in the game, but was unable to find a goal as the Mountain Lions settled for a draw.

The best chance in the opening half for Concord came when junior defender Ella Rowell's shot to the top left of the goal was tipped away by Point Park (4-3-1, 4-1-1 MEC) goalkeeper Nicole Kuchinski in the 24^th minute. In the 37^th minute, a free kick by senior defender Katie Garratt was punched away by Kuchinski.

Out of the locker room, junior midfielder Eve Harriott had her shot saved in the 50^th minute.

The chances kept coming for the Mountain Lions as they registered four shots between the 59^th and 63^rd minutes, but were kept off the board. Another free kick by Garratt in the 72^nd minute was rolled along the turf, however, it managed to not find the back of the net.

Rowell led the Concord offense with nine shots on the day. She tallied three shots on goal. Sophomore defender Molly Watters finished with four shots. Both Garratt and sophomore midfielder Daisy Cook notched three shots for the game.

Junior goalkeeper Maddie Loughborough made her only save of the game in the second half.

CU pushed 11 shots on goal for the day while both teams took four corner kicks.

The Mountain Lions travel to Wheeling for a 2:00 p.m. start Sunday.
