SALISBURY, N.C. – The Concord University women's soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision to nationally-ranked, 13^th-rated Catawba Thursday night at Frock Field.

The Mountain Lions had a chance in the first six minutes when junior forward Ailsa Swinburne's attempt sailed high of the goal.

On the other end of the field, junior goalkeeper Maddie Loughborough made a pair of saves in the opening 16 minutes before the Indians broke through with a goal in the 18^th minute. Catawba tacked on two more goals before halftime to take a 3-0 advantage.

In the second half, junior midfielder Stephanie Tovar tallied a shot on goal in the 58^th minute. Senior defender Katie Garratt had CU's other shot on goal in the 81^st minute.

Tovar had two total shots in the game.

Loughborough tallied six saves in the contest.

Concord faces a second straight ranked opponent in number eight Lenoir-Rhyne on the road 1:00 p.m. Sunday.
