GREENVILLE, S.C. – In its first year of existence, the Concord University women's triathlon team has been selected to finish fifth in the Conference Carolinas as the poll was released Wednesday morning by the league office.

ABOUT THE TEAM
Concord hired Sarah Lauderdale in early March to assume the role of the program's first head coach. Lauderdale is a former standout in triathlon for East Tennessee State, and still competes professionally at USA Triathlon events.
In her first recruiting class, Lauderdale brought in three new Mountain Lions.
Elexandrea Cly joins the program from Round Rock, Texas.
Fatima Da Silva hails from Lima, Peru, and
Emma Rhodes is a converted track & field athlete from Ouachita Baptist, a Division II school in Arkansas. She specialized in the 800-meter an 1,5000-meter runs at OBU while also running cross country.
2026 SCHEDULE
The Mountain Lions have four events scheduled for the fall with the first coming in just over a week at the Buccaneer Cup hosted by ETSU September 4 in Johnson City, Tennessee. Concord will be in action at the Beaver County Cup September 19 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. The Conference Carolinas Championship is scheduled for October 4 in Wingate, North Carolina, and the USA Triathlon East Regional Championship is October 17 in Lake Lanier, Georgia.
