ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University softball head coach
Alisa Tasler has brought on
Morgan Gleason as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2027 season.
Gleason, a four-year member of the Mountain Lion softball team, just finished up her playing career this past spring.
Between the outfield and catching behind the plate, the La Plata, Maryland native appeared in 176 games with 156 starts. She stole 34 career bases which is just outside the top 10 in program history. She added 23 career extra-base hits (20 doubles) and 49 RBI.
Gleason's best year on the diamond came as a junior when she hit .270 with seven extra base-hits and 17 RBI while being a perfect 16-for-16 on steal attempts—Gleason was Concord's everyday center fielder during the 2025 season. Over her four years on the field, Gleason helped the Mountain Lions to 97 wins.
In addition to assisting with all facets of the CU softball program, Gleason will also pursue her master's degree at Concord. Â
