2026 Football Promotion Schedule Unveiled

ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University Athletic Department in conjunction with the Concord football team has announced the promotion schedule for the six home games at Callaghan Stadium this fall.

Below is a rundown of the home game dates and the promotion associated with them.

September 5 – Concord vs. Bluefield State – Maroon Out/Student Appreciation
Wear Maroon and as the Mountain Lions take on their biggest rival in Mercer County foe Bluefield State. In-game contests and a free custom water bottle to the first 50 students will also be part of the promotion.

September 17 (Thursday night) – Concord vs. Charleston – Faculty/Staff Appreciation
All Concord faculty and staff members will be admitted free to CU's first Thursday night home since the 2018 season. Like the student appreciation night, the first 50 faculty and staff members will receive a free water bottle courtesy of Concord Athletics.

October 3 – Concord vs. Frostburg State – Youth Day
All kids from the surrounding area are encouraged to wear their favorite jersey—regardless of sport—for free admission into Callaghan Stadium as the Mountain Lions take on the defending Mountain East Conference Champions.

October 17 – Concord vs. Glenville State – Homecoming
Save the date for one of the premier events of the entire academic year at Concord. A weekend full of events on the Campus Beautiful can be viewed here. Included in the weekend's festivities is the annual Concord Athletics Golf Tournament at Pipestem State Park October 16. A link to sign up for event can be done by clicking here.

October 31 – Concord vs. Wheeling – Halloween
A home game on Halloween means all kids are encouraged to wear their best Halloween costume before going out for trick-or-treat later in the evening. Youth in costumes will be admitted free into the game.

November 14 – Concord vs. Ferrum – Service Personnel Recognition
All first responders as well as military members and military veterans will be admitted into Callaghan Stadium for free as Concord wraps up the regular season with a non-conference game against Ferrum.
