CLIMBING THE RANKS
Senior infielder
Lacie Lewis ripped two doubles and a home run over the weekend as she continues her ascent up the all-time career ranks at CU in doubles and home runs. Lewis launched her fourth home run of the season, and the 24
th of her career against Fairmont State Sunday afternoon. The Kearneysville, West Virginia native is one home run shy of tying her sister, Lauren, for third on the all-time home runs list at Concord. Lewis' two doubles moved her to 44 career two-base hits which is now two shy of tying Stephanie Smith (1996-99) and Sarah Thompson (2019-23) for fourth at Concord. Lewis is also up to 105 career RBI, and sits two shy of tying Smith for eighth all-time at CU.
GET THE BATS HOT
Along with Lewis' four hits over the weekend, junior pitcher
Josi Ervin and sophomore pitcher/outfielder
Reghan Hintz also had four hits in four games at home. Ervin was 4-for-11 against Fairmont State and Frostburg State as she raised her season average from .257 to .283. Although she has limited at-bats in her career, Ervin is in the midst of her first career four-game hitting streak. Hintz went 4-for-10 over the weekend as she tallied her third two-hit game of the season against Fairmont State Sunday. The Melfa, Virginia native has just 33 at-bats on the season, but has registered 10 hits with six coming in her last 14 at-bats.
SWEEPING GLENVILLE STATE
The Mountain Lions swept Glenville State at home on March 25 with 5-3 and 8-0 wins—it was the first home sweep of GSU for Concord since the 2022 season. All five runs in the first game came off home runs as senior pitcher/outfielder
Madison Hollis blasted a two-run shot to left center field in the third inning. And an inning later, freshman catcher/infielder
Hannah Niten clubbed a three-run home run. Hollis was the winning pitcher in the circle for CU. The Maroon and Gray took advantage of three GSU errors and scored seven of their eight runs in the fourth inning of the shortened run-rule win. Lewis was 2-for-3 with two RBI in the contest. Hintz allowed just two hits over her five shutout innings of work.
WINNING ON THE ROAD
Concord has secured a split at Glenville State in each of the last two seasons, winning 7-3 in 2025 and picking up a 4-3 victory in 2024. CU ran out to a 5-0 lead after one inning last season at GSU. Lewis and junior infielder
Kendall Morgan each had two hits. The Mountain Lions had 11 hits in the game—all singles—with senior outfielders
Alina Giles and
Morgan Gleason, Hintz and Hollis all netting a hit as well. Senior catcher
Kayla Sholter had a go-ahead, two-run double as part of Concord's comeback from down 3-1 in the 2024 matchup at Glenville State.
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Glenville State comes into Wednesday's matchup having won nine of its previous ten games with the lone loss coming Sunday to Frostburg State, 10-8. Hannah Howe has 30 RBI, but only bats .276 on the season. Four other Pioneers, Delaney Warnick (28), Shelby McDaniels (21), Emily Nolan (21) and Zailees Seda (20), have at least 20 RBI. Kylie Burdick has 14 wins in the circle and has piled up 97 strikeouts in 114 innings. She was the pitcher that both Hollis and Niten homered off of in March. Maci Boggess adds an 11-4 record on the season with a 1.88 ERA in 100.2 innings.
