WHEELING, W.Va. – Junior forward
Boubacar Djigo of the Concord University men's basketball team has been selected to the All-Mountain East Conference Tournament Team as it was announced with the conclusion of the MEC Championship Sunday evening.
Djigo, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, was selected to All-MEC Tournament Team after averaging 20 points and 17 rebounds in two games at the MEC Tournament. He shot 50 percent (16-for-32) from the floor and blocked three shots in helping CU to its third straight MEC Semifinal.
In the quarterfinal round, Djigo recorded his fourth 20-15 game of the season as he went for 24 points and 16 rebounds in a 96-71 win over Wheeling. In the MEC Semifinals Saturday night, Djigo scored 16 points, including making three three-pointers, and grabbed 18 rebounds.
With Djigo making the All-MEC Tournament Team, it marks the fourth straight year that the Mountain Lions had a player selected to the All-MEC Tournament Team.
