Dom Collins of the Concord University men's track & field team is set to compete at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field National Championships 3:15 p.m. Friday afternoon in the 60-meter dash.

HOW HE GOT HERE
Collins ran a school-record time of 6.70 seconds in the 60-meter dash at the Mountain East Conference Indoor Championships. At the time, Collins' time was tied for 11
th in Division II. He ended the indoor season tied for 14
th in the 60-meters as he was one of 18 athletes selected to compete the Division II National Championships. Collins was also the MEC Champion in the event.
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT
All 18 athletes will be in the preliminary round of the 60-meters Friday afternoon. The top eight times will advance to Saturday's 60-meter final which is slated for 4:10 p.m. Those advancing to the 60-meter finals will earn First Team All-American honors. Places 9-12 from the preliminary round will earn Second Team All-American honors.
