ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University head men's basketball coach
Jayson Gee has announced the program's schedule for the 2026-27 season as it was released Monday.
Concord is slated for 28 games this season with 22 coming against Mountain East Conference foes, and an additional six versus non-conference opponents.
The season starts in just over a month when the Mountain Lions welcome Fayetteville State, the defending Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Champions, to the Carter Center November 9.
The contest with the Broncos will be the only home game in the month of November for CU as the next five games are on the road, November 13-14 against Indiana (Pa.) and Clarion, as part of IUP's Hilton Garden Inn Tip-Off Classic, November 21 at Bluefield State, November 23 at Salem and December 2 at Wheeling.
After opening the MEC portion of the schedule on the road against Wheeling, Concord hosts West Liberty at the Carter Center December 5 in the first MEC home game of the year. Salem is due back to Concord December 7 in the return trip in non-conference action. And a three-game homestand closes December 9 versus Frostburg State.
The final two games of 2026 will be on the road as Concord heads to Fairmont State December 12 and West Virginia State December 16.
Three of the first four games in January will be in Athens as Charleston (January 2), Glenville State (January 9) and Davis & Elkins (January 13) all visit CU. A trip to West Virginia Wesleyan January 6 is the lone road game in that stretch.
As the month of January closes, the only home game will be against Fairmont State January 23. The four road trips to close the month are Point Park (January 16), Shawnee State (January 20), Frostburg State (January 27) and West Liberty (January 30).
February opens at home to Wheeling (February 3). Then, CU goes to Glenville State February 6 before finishing the regular season with four of six games at home: West Virginia Wesleyan (February 10), West Virginia State (February 13), Point Park (February 24) and Shawnee State (February 27).
The two road games are at Charleston (February 17), and at Davis & Elkins (February 20).
